Recognized Smithfield Methodist Church as an active business partner with Smithfield and Watauga elementary schools and Birdville High School. The church works with school staff to provide weekend snack bags for students each week along with special birthday treats for students.

Approved the donation from: 

• Porter PTA to Porter Elementary.

Approved Mark Thomas and Paige Curry as the superintendent’s designees to act as the superintendent’s alternates for approving staff requests for access to one or more TEA web applications accessed through the Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL).

Approved the 2023–24 Campus Improvement Plans.

Approved additional Texas Teacher Evaluation & Support System (T-TESS) appraiser for 2023–24.

Approved additional Texas Principal Evaluation & Support System (T-PESS) appraiser for 2023–24.

Approved the Proclamation 2024 Textbook Adoption Advisory Committees.

Approved budget amendments.

Approved the contracts for: 

• Waterproofing of the visitor side of the Fine Arts/Athletics Complex (FAAC) to Mid-Continental Restoration Co., Inc.; and
• Special education services for a student from Merakey.

Approved the bid/purchase for: (Funds come from Bond 2022 funds)

• Security access control solutions and IP security cameras from Progressive Technologies, Inc.

Approved the final payment to: 

• Infinity Contractors, Ltd. for auditorium and gym HVAC replacements at North Oaks Middle School.
