    Friendly Lane Baptist

    Friendly Lane Baptist Church, represented by Pastor Bill Howe and his wife, Terri, was recognized as an active business partner with Haltom Middle School. The church has graciously allowed Haltom Middle staff to park in the church parking lot for years. 

Summary of Actions

  • Approved the donation from: 

    • Birdville Education Foundation to Birdville ISD; 
    • Fire Merch to Birdville ISD. 

    Approved 2021–22 Budget Amendment for 2020-21 Incomplete Projects. 

    Approved Board President Joe Tolbert as an official voting delegate and Ralph Kunkel as an alternate delegate to the 2021 TASB Delegate Assembly.

    Endorsed Dr. Paula McDonald (Granbury ISD) for the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) board of directors, Region 11, Position C. 

    Approved adding and removing authorized representatives to Unity One account. 

    Approved the 2021–22 T-TESS appraisal calendar. 

    Approved the 2021–22 T-PESS appraisal calendar. 

    Approved budget amendments. 

Public Hearing

  • A public hearing was conducted to discuss and hear comments on the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) II Grant. 

Personnel Report

Bids Awarded

  • Approved the contract with: 

    • SHI Government Solutions for the annual Microsoft agreement. 

    Approved the final payment (monies for these projects come from 2018 Bond funds) to: 

    • T.F. Harper and Associates, LP for playgrounds at the new elementary schools.
