Student Recognition

  • Winner at Binion Elementary

    Benjamin Torres, fourth grader at Binion Elementary, was recognized as PÕ¾ÊÓƵ’s 2020 Holiday Card Contest winner; Carsyn Allums, fifth grader at Porter Elementary, was recognized as the second-place winner; Blayden Bolton, second grader at Hardeman Elementary, was recognized as the third-place winner; and Lara Ida Feijão, fifth grader at Green Valley Elementary, was recognized as honorable mention.

    Smithfield United Methodist Church  

     

    Sandy Tolleson, Heather Doyle, Laurie Rawlings, and Katie Leatherwood with Smithfield United Methodist Church were recognized for their support of Binion Elementary. Since 2018, Smithfield United Methodist Church has provided more than 90 students with a weekend food backpack.

    Approved budget amendments.

Bids Awarded

  • Approved the contracts from: 

    • OES Scoreboards for replacement of the scoreboard at the Fine Arts/Athletics Complex; and  
    • Canon Solutions America for copier leases for the District’s print shop. 

    Approved the final payment to:

    • Key Construction Texas, LLC for the gymnasium addition at Smithfield Middle School; and 
    • Core Construction for the storefront replacements at the PÕ¾ÊÓƵ Plaza.
