    The PÕ¾ÊÓƵ Board of Trustees was recognized for its leadership and commitment to the students of the District. 

Partners in Education Recognitions

    The Hills Church of Christ  

    The Hills Church in North Richland Hills was recognized for their support of North Oaks Middle School. The Hills Church provides backpacks every Friday with food for needy students. The backpacks contain at least two meals to eat per day over the weekend. 

Summary of Actions

  • Approved the donations from: 

    • Birdville Choir Boosters to North Richland Middle School choir; 
    • Porter Elementary PTA to Porter Elementary; 
    • David Wilburn to Francisco Elementary; and 
    • Green Valley Elementary PTA to Green Valley Elementary. 

    Approved the Order of Trustee Election for Saturday, May 2 to fill Places 1 and 2 (currently held by Joe Tolbert and Kelvin Dilks respectively). 

    Approved revisions to Board Operating Procedures to match recent changes in Board Policy. 

    Approved the 2020–21 District Calendar > 2020–21 Calendar 

    Approved an additional administrator to serve as a teacher appraiser. 

    Approved budget amendments.

Bids Awarded

  • Approved the bid/purchase for: 

    • Bulk office and classroom supplies from multiple vendors;  
    • Special Education, 504 and RtI software system from SuccessEd; and 
    • Modular building complexes for North Oaks Middle School and Watauga Elementary from Mobile Modular. 

    Approved the increase to the road construction costs and scope of work on the District’s street between Hardeman Elementary and Watauga Middle School from Tarrant County Precinct 3. 

    Approved the bid/purchase for: (Monies for these projects will come from 2018 Bond funds.) 

    • Construction materials inspection and testing services for the new Smithfield Elementary School from Fugro USA Land, Inc.; 
    • Construction materials inspection and testing services for the new Cheney Hills Elementary School and the pedestrian bridge from Alpha Testing, Inc.; and 
    • Asbestos abatement project design and management for Haltom and Richland middle schools. 

    Approved the contracts with: (Funds come from Bond 2018 funds) 

    • Ratcliff Constructors for the construction of Cheney Hills Elementary.
