     Dunkin' Donuts

    Dunkin’ Donuts and Nathan Pressler were recognized for their support of Green Valley Elementary. Each six weeks, they provide breakfast for the GATOR GREATS breakfast, as well as support for other scholar, staff and family events. 

     NRH?0 and Stephanie Hee-Johnston

    NRH20 and Stephanie Hee-Johnston were recognized for their support of Birdville ISD and the Birdville Council of PTAs Clothes Connection and Supply Depot. NRH20 has an annual school supply and shoe drive to support the Clothes Connection and Supply Depot to help families in need. The staff also provides educational classes across the District.

  • West Birdville Elementary

    West Birdville Elementary was recognized for receiving the 2019 Texas ASCD Whole Child School Award. Vanessa Sutton, current West Birdville principal, and Tim Drysdale, former West Birdville principal, were also recognized.  

     Mindy Anstey

    Mindy Anstey, deaf education teacher from Porter Elementary, was recognized as the Association of Texas Professional Educators (ATPE) teacher of the year.

  • Approved the donations from: 

    • Watauga Elementary PTA to Watauga Elementary fourth grade; 
    • Birdville United Band Boosters to Smithfield Middle School choir; 
    • Birdville United Band Boosters to Smithfield Middle School band; 
    • Richland Area Band Boosters to North Ridge Middle School band; 
    • Texas ASCD to West Birdville Elementary; 
    • Indeco Sales, Inc. to PÕ¾ÊÓƵ;  
    • Richland Legacy Project to Richland High School; and  
    • Richland High School Baseball Boosters to Richland High School. 

    Approved Cheney Hills Elementary as the name of the partner elementary replacing Cheney and Richland elementary schools. This partner school was approved by voters in the 2018 bond and is scheduled to open in Fall 2021. 

    Approved the resolution casting votes for John Molyneaux, Mike O’Donnell and Joe Potthoff in the Tarrant Appraisal District Board of Directors election. 

    Approved the resolution adopting the Hart Verity Voting System for all elections conducted by or for Birdville ISD. 

    Approved the 2018–19 annual financial report.? 

    Approved the targeted improvement plan for Shannon High School.? 

    Approved budget amendments.

Bids Awarded

  • Approved the bid/purchase for: 

    • Heavy equipment service, purchase and rentals from multiple vendors; and 
    • Baseball field fence replacement at Richland High School from Triple-C Fence. 

    Approved the bid/purchase for: (Monies for these projects will come from 2018 Bond funds.) 

    • Roof replacement at Birdville High School from Tri-Lam Roofing and Waterproofing, Inc.; 
    • Permit fees for the new elementary campuses; 
    • Testing, adjusting and balancing services for HVAC replacements at Watauga Middle School and Hardeman Elementary from Air Balancing Company, Inc. 

    Approved the final payment to:? 

    • American Restoration for window waterproofing repair at Haltom High School. 

    Approved the interlocal agreement with: 

    • GoodBuy Purchasing Cooperative; and 
    • Tarrant County, Precinct 3 for road construction and miscellaneous work.
