    Baker Boulevard Church

    Baker Boulevard Church of Christ, represented by Robert and Tammy Clay, was recognized for its support of Richland Elementary. The church supports students by providing weekend backpacks with food for needy families, reading buddies for students, and immediate needs as they are able.

Student/Staff Recognitions

  • Amy Ingram and Birdville High School Team

    Amy Ingram, Birdville High School girls basketball coach, was recognized for the girls basketball team winning District 7–5A.

Summary of Actions

  • Approved the donations from:

    • Green Valley Elementary PTA to Green Valley Elementary;
    • Upper Ninety Booster Club to Birdville High School; and
    • Milestone Electric to Foster Village Elementary.

    Approved the joint election contract with Tarrant County Election Administration.

    Approved the English language arts and reading textbooks.

    Approved renewing the waiver request for staff development minutes.

    Approved budget amendments.

Personnel

  • Announced four appointments, 14 resignations and 10 retirements. 

Bids Awarded

  • Approved the bids/purchases for:

    • AkitaBox, web-based building data management system, from AkitaBox, Inc.;
    • English Language Arts resources from Heinemann;
    • Social studies supplemental resources for dual language classrooms from Teacher Created Materials;
    • Maintenance truck from Grapevine Dodge Chrysler Jeep;
    • Musical instruments and accessories from multiple vendors;
    • Padcaster all-in-one mobile production studios from Troxell;
    • Football helmet reconditioning from Athletic Supply, Inc.;
    • Gym floor refinishing from Allen Hardwood Floors; and
    • Haltom High School window waterproofing repair from American Restoration.

    Approved the contract/subscription renewals with:

    • Frost Bank for depository services;
    • AVID for college readiness system services and products agreement; and
    • International Center for Leadership in Education for professional development services.

     Approved the bids/purchases for: (Monies for these projects will come from 2018 Bond funds.)

    • Controlled entry systems (safety vestibules) at 15 campuses from 308 Construction;
    • Lockdown buttons from Nationwide Network Technologies, Inc.;
    • Data cabling for the controlled entry at six campuses from Superior Fiber and Data Services, Inc.;
    • District technology solutions AV and IP PA from multiple vendors;
    • Network equipment for building-wide public address systems from Sigma Technology Solutions, Inc.;
    • Laptops from Dell, Inc.; and
    • Chromebooks and Google licenses from Connection.

    Approved the contract for: (Monies for this project will come from 2014 Bond funds.)

    • Master planning services for The PÕ¾ÊÓƵ Plaza from PBK Architects.

    Approved the final payment to:

    • AGD Utility Construction, Inc. for the replacement of the retaining wall at Foster Village Elementary.

    Approved the 457 Cooperative and Master Plan Interlocal Agreement and resolution with the Education Service Center (ESC) Region 10.

    Approved the interlocal agreement with the city of North Richland Hills for streetlights adjacent to Walker Creek Elementary.
