Partners in Education Recognitions

    Donna Thomas, EECU

    Donna Thomas and EECU were recognized for their support of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ. EECU is a regular supporter of PÕ¾ÊÓƵ’s Teacher of the Year Gala and recently donated more than 1,500 books to be distributed to first-year teachers to help build classroom libraries.

     

    Sertoma Club of Fort Worth

    Sertoma Club of Fort Worth was recognized for their donation to PÕ¾ÊÓƵ’s Regional Program for the Deaf. Their donation was used to purchase listening equipment for students in the program.

    Sertoma Club of Watauga was recognized for their donation to PÕ¾ÊÓƵ’s Regional Program for the Deaf. Their donation was used to purchase listening equipment for students in the program.

Student/Staff Recognitions

  • Coacg Cecila Burris and Birdville High School Tennis Team

    Coach Cecila Burris and the Birdville High School tennis team were recognized for winning District 7-5A.

     

    Coach Mark Ashley and the Richland High School Cross Country Team

    Coach Mark Ashley and the Richland High School cross country team were recognized for winning District 3-6A.

Summary of Actions

  • Approved the donations from:

    • Porter Elementary PTA to Porter Elementary.

    Canvassed the votes of the November 6, 2018 bond election.

    Approved budget amendments.

    Approved the 2018-19 budget amendment for campus 2017-18 rollover funds.

    Approved the financial audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.

    Approved the Student Health Advisory Committee members.

    Approved the revised PÕ¾ÊÓƵ Fire Academy Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Tarrant County College District and the City of North Richland Hills.

Personnel

  • Announced five appointments, four resignations and two retirements. 

Bids Awarded

  • Approved the contracts with multiple vendors for:

    • Architectural services;
    • Geotechnical services, construction materials testing and inspection;
    • Asbestos consulting;
    • Engineering services;
    • Testing, balancing and comissioning new HVAC systems; and
    • Consulting services.

    Approved the final payment to:

    • Trane US, Inc. for coil replacement for a Arena rooftop unit at Thomas Coliseum.
